SIBS AB (publ) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary SIBS Sdn Bhd, today has signed an agreement with a major Southeast Asia-based property developer for the supply and delivery of modules for a hotel development in Port Hedland, Australia.

The hotel will feature 302 rooms across two buildings of six and five storeys, located on the coastline at Port Hedland. SIBS announced in March 2026 that it signed an agreement with the customer for design and planning. The design phase has been completed and the project is now moving into construction.

As shared previously, SIBS will supply the modular units for the development in collaboration with a local Australian principal contractor. On site works have already commenced and SIBS is expected to start production in late 2026 and deliver modules to site in H1 2027.

“Following a successful design phase in close collaboration with our customer and project partners in Australia, we are now moving into manufacturing. The project has progressed through a competitive tender and a comprehensive design process and is now entering the construction phase. This milestone demonstrates the versatility and competitiveness of the SIBS system, as well as our ability to collaborate effectively across markets and disciplines. The professionalism and commitment shown by our customer and their partners throughout the design process have been exceptional, and we look forward to bringing the project to life together,” says Lawrence Chua, Executive Director, SIBS Malaysia.
